The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) informs loan applicants and other stakeholders that it has issued a Phase Two list of 5,168 first-year students who have been allocated loans worth TZS 19.9 billion.
It will be recalled that on November 11, 2020, HESLB announced the Phase One list containing 47,305 first-year first-year students who were allocated loans worth TZS 150.03 billion.
Thus, to date (Tuesday, November 17, 2020), a total of 52,473 first-year students have been allocated a loan worth TZS 170.02 billion.
Students are required to visit their SIPA accounts used to apply for a loan and will receive detailed information about the loan.
Offenders are now allowed to correct
Regarding applicant students whose applications are inadequate, HESLB has given them five (05) days from tomorrow (Wednesday, November 18, 2020) to process their information online.
Thus, from tomorrow they will be able to log into their SIPA accounts which they used to apply for a loan and adjust it by keeping the proper documents and HESLB we will analyze them and qualified will be allocated loans as soon as possible.
Credit Budget 2020-2021
In 2020/2021 the Government has allocated TZS 464 billion for 145,000 student loans. Of these, 54,000 will be first-year students and 91,000 are undergraduate students.
