One of the responsibilities of this ministry is to coordinate all regional and local development plans for the presidency. The administration of this Ministry is under the Minister who is also a member of the Cabinet of Tanzania.
The Ministry is responsible for the development of the region in all regions and districts, especially in ensuring the continuity of infrastructure for each region in the construction of roads and buildings, and at an appropriate level.
About PMO-RALG (Office of the President – Regional Administration and Local Government)
The ministry also coordinates and supervises development planning and sectoral initiatives in donor-supported programs at the district and local levels; Provides ministerial guidance to regional secretariats and local government authorities; and enhance communication and information flow between national and national standards.
